Nursing
(A.A.S.)
Nursing offers a variety of workplace environments.
Nurses work in various hospital areas from pediatrics to emergency departments. Outside of the hospital, nurses are found in the home healthcare industry, long-term care facilities, clinics, schools and more. Whatever career path is chosen, the ever-changing nature of healthcare provides nurses many occasions for professional growth and lifelong learning. Employment opportunities are available, with area starting salaries of approximately $40,000 or more.
