Snap a photo of you/your friends using the Force to lift people/objects. Email your photos to to be placed on the Library’s Facebook page. The photo with the most likes will win a prize!

Room Reservations

Study rooms and conference rooms can be reserved in Columbia upon arrival subject to availability utilizing an electronic panel outside the study rooms for 30 minute increments.

Rooms can be reserved in Franklin upon arrival, subject to availability. Advanced reservations can be requested at each location's Circulation Desk or by emailing

Room kits may be checked out in Columbia with a current Columbia State ID each kit contains HDMI cables with adapters to connect laptops to the flat screens in each room, white board markers and eraser.

Read & Return
Read & Return books are books that have been donated by faculty, staff and students. They can be loaned, borrowed, returned and exchanged without a library card. This collection includes mysteries, biographies, historical fiction, young adult novels, romance and suspense novels. To donate a book, place in book drop at the circulation desk for library staff to clean prior to placing the books on the Read & Return book shelf.

Student Resources Located in the Library

  • The mission of the TRiO/Student Support Services program is to provide underrepresented student populations with the added support mechanisms needed to meet the challenges of higher education.
  • The Tutoring and Learning Center's dedicated staff work together to ensure student success with an open lab environment providing students with free tutoring in math, writing, science and more! 

  • We are committed to ensuring that a college degree is accessible to all, including those who have responsibilities that prevent them from enrolling in day courses. We offer courses in most academic subjects Monday through Thursday evenings during the Fall and Spring Semesters!
