NJCAA Recognizes Student Athletes for Academic Achievement

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - July 25, 2014) - - - Five Columbia State Community College athletes have received 2013-2014 NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards.

In baseball, Tyler Fullerton (Murfreesboro), Ronnie Jebavy (Murfreesboro), and Chase Howell (Hendersonville) won the award for exemplary academic achievement for their hard work in the classroom as well as on the field. These students also played with the Chargers' team in this year's NJCAA World Series in Grand Junction, Co.

In softball, Ashlee Price (Huntsville, Ala.) received the award for her superior academic achievement as a student athlete.

Arturs Bremers, originally from Latvia, was also awarded for superior academic achievement for his work academically and athletically as a member of the men's basketball team.
