Columbia State Community College's Professional Staff Organization recently held its Sixth Annual Pancake Breakfast to raise money for scholarships.

"Making A Difference" was the theme for this year's event held at Applebee's in Columbia. PSO members represent various departments throughout the college, and through their combined efforts, they were able to raise more than $1,000 for scholarships.

"We want to help our students reach their educational goals," said Iris Anderson, PSO chair. "We can make a difference in students' lives by providing scholarships."

Over the past six years, the PSO pancake breakfast has raised more than $4,000 for student scholarships. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Columbia State Foundation's general scholarship fund.
