Performance Free and Open to the Public Wednesday, Oct. 10

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Oct. 5, 2012) - - - The jazz and string quartets of Belmont University's School of Music will perform in a concert sponsored by Columbia State Community College's Lyceum Committee and hosted by the Williamson County Public Library on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. at the library.
The classical string quartet and jazz string quartet are ensembles of talented students from Belmont. Both groups are scheduled for feature performances at Cheekwood's Fall Festival.
Classical string quartet members include Cassandra Shudak and Julia Johnson, violins; Rose Rodgers, viola; and Kevin Terry, cello. The jazz quartet includes Travis Patton and Kyle Pudenz, violins; Rose Rodgers, viola; and Melodie Morris, cello. The classical string quartet is coached by Elisabeth Small, and Tracy Silverman coaches the jazz quartet.
The concert is free and open to the public. The library is at 1314 Columbia Avenue in Franklin.
