ROGERS GROUP SIGNS ON AS PRESENTING SPONSOR OF JAMES R. MOON SCHOLARSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT

Local Company Signs Two-Year Partnership Supporting Opportunities for Columbia State Students

Rogers Group, Inc., a Middle Tennessee-based construction company, has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the Columbia State Community College Lewisburg Campus 14th annual James R. Moon Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 10 at Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The tournament, played as a four person scramble, will begin with registration and lunch at 12 p.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Rogers Group, Inc. has also signed on as presenting sponsor of the 2011 James R. Moon Golf Tournament.

"Rogers Group, Inc. is excited about sponsoring the James R. Moon Columbia State Golf Tournament," said Randy Butler, Division Vice President for Rogers Group, Inc. "We have been a community supporter in Marshall County for almost 30 years and will continue to support valuable community activities like the James R. Moon Golf Tournament."

Teams can enter the tournament at $500 per team, or $125 per player. The entry fee includes cart, green fees, range, individual prizes, team prizes, goodie bag, snacks, lunch and beverages. Participants can also purchase "mulligans," "red tees," and enter the putting contest for a fee of $10 each at registration the day of the event.

This golf classic honors the late Mr. James R. Moon, businessman, industrialist, educator, golf enthusiast and an outstanding citizen of Marshall County. The purpose of the golf classic is to provide a source of funds for those individuals who attend Columbia State's Lewisburg Campus. Scholarships are awarded based on academic history and community service activities.
