Series Runs Feb. 8 to May 9
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Jan. 31, 2012) - - - Whether you're looking to learn the essentials of leadership or to hone your current leadership skills, Columbia State Community College's Center for Economic and Workforce Development has a new series that will help you motivate others, manage performance problems and build an environment of trust.

The comprehensive leadership training series highlights how motivated employees can develop and sustain the leadership skills necessary for success in a business environment. Each 4-hour session will concentrate on the challenges new leaders face, as well as which proactive measures and effective solutions leaders can use to achieve their business goals.

Leadership training courses include:
  • Essentials of Leadership
  • Building an Environment of Trust
  • Making Meetings Work
  • Retaining Talent
  • Managing Performance Problems
  • Motivating Others
  • Leading Change
The 7-course series spans 14 weeks and runs from Feb. 8 to May 9 on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost per course is $149 per person, and all classes will take place on the Columbia campus. Anyone who attends six or more classes will receive a leadership training certificate.
