Acquainted with the Night and Versed in Country Things: Science in the Poetry of Robert Frost

Professor Judy Westley and the Lyceum Committee are proud to welcome Virginia Smith of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Author of the text A Scientific Companion to Robert Frost and editor of the prestigious Robert Frost Review. Professor Smith is a distinguished professor of Chemistry with a PhD in Chemistry and a notable record of publications in the sciences and the arts. She has lectured extensively and has a notable background in research. She will be discussing the relationship of Frost’s writings to science.
