Lost and Found
If you have lost an item on a Columbia State Community College campus, report the lost item to the Student Services office as soon as possible. For lost items at an extended campus, report the item to the administrative office at that campus When reporting a lost item, be prepared to provide a complete description of the item. A complete description is required before a lost item can be returned.

Report lost articles to the Student Services office as soon as possible.
Extended Campuses
Report lost articles to the administrative office of that campus as soon as possible.
When reporting your item, provide as much information as possible to accurately describe what was lost, including identifying characteristics that may help distinguish your item from others.
Found an Item?
If you find an item on a Columbia State campus, please turn it in to the appropriate Student Services office or campus administrative office so it can be handled through the College's Lost and Found process. Found articles are dated and held for claim for three months.
How Long Are Found Items Kept?
Found articles are dated and held for claim for three months. Items that are not claimed within three months will be discarded. If you have lost an item, please report it as soon as possible rather than waiting until the end of the three-month holding period.
Claiming a Lost Item
To claim a found item, contact the appropriate Columbia State office and provide a complete description of the lost item. A complete description is required before the item can be returned.

Lost and Found at Columbia State
Columbia State's Lost and Found procedure is provided in the Student Handbook. The procedure applies to lost and found articles on Columbia State campuses and establishes the College's three-month holding period for found articles.
Remember: Report lost items as soon as possible. Found items are held for claim for three months before being discarded if they remain unclaimed.
