Diaper and Wipe Drive Benefits Area Residents

Pictured above is a picture of diapers and wipes delivered to one of our local county department of children's services. They expressed a big "THANK YOU" to Columbia State's Faculty, Staff and Students.

(COLUMBIA - Jan. 5, 2015) - Once again, Columbia State Community College participated in the annual Diaper and Wipe Drive organized by the Office of Access and Diversity. This year, 2,164 diapers, 31 pull-ups and 2,140 wipes were collected from all the campuses and then donated throughout the college's nine-county service area.

All diapers and wipes were donated to the following organizations:

  • Columbia - Maury County Department of Children's Services for Maury and Marshall Counties
  • Lawrenceburg - Lawrence County Children's Services or Kid's Place
  • Wayne County Department of Children's Services
  • Williamson County Department of Children's Services

"Thanks so much to the Columbia State family for the generous donations to the annual Diaper and Wipes Drive," said Christa Martin, assistant to the president for access and diversity. "This is another example of faculty, staff and student engagement and volunteerism that goes well beyond our classrooms and our offices."

Columbia State's nine-county area in southern Middle Tennessee includes Maury, Giles, Marshall, Williamson, Lawrence, Hickman, Lewis, Perry and Wayne.
