Georgia Dixon graduated with an Associate of Science degree in communication studies in Spring 2026. While at Columbia State, she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and the Unboxed Club. Dixon also received the Academic Excellence Award and the Communication Studies Academic Discipline Award. She plans to attend the University of Tennessee Chattanooga to pursue bachelor’s degrees in communications and psychology, followed by a master’s degree in one of those fields. Dixon credits Columbia State’s faculty and supportive community for helping her discover her voice and build confidence throughout her college journey.

“When arriving here at Columbia State as a lost 18-year-old girl, I was scared to death that I would be alone in this journey, and I am so glad to say that I couldn’t have been more wrong,” Dixon said. “I have been forever blessed beyond belief to have been taught by women who helped me find my voice and showed me that education can be paired with compassion, kindness and humor.”
