Computer Access Update
We anticipate access to college computers and Wi-Fi will be down the rest of the week. Classes will continue to meet.
College email will go down this afternoon. We hope to have it back online tomorrow. We will keep students, faculty and staff updated by text and email, when available.
Online Campus and ChargerNet will remain available on personal devices via a home network or phone.

Columbia State will be open on Wednesday, Feb. 27
Last week, the College was infected with a virus via an email with an attached document. The virus then spread to the College’s network. Unfortunately, the virus is able to morph, making it difficult to control.
Our Information Technology department has been working tirelessly with expert consultants around the clock to protect sensitive data and to eradicate the virus.
As of this time, we do not believe that any breach of student information has occurred.
The college will be open on Wednesday, Feb. 27. However, there will not be access to college computers or college Wi-Fi until the virus has been eradicated.
This does not impact students ability to access Online Campus, ChargerNet and email from a personal computer via a home network or phone. Online Campus and ChargerNet are hosted via the cloud and thus not impacted by the virus.
Students, please continue to check your Columbia State email regularly for additional campus updates and any instructions from faculty or changes to class scheduling.
For questions about your classes, contact your instructor. For any other questions, call 931-540-2735 tomorrow or email StudentAffairs@ColumbiaState.edu.
