Q. Where can I find assistance in the computer labs?
A. We have several Lab Monitors that rotate around the Labs throughout the day. They are available to assist you with general problems you may have in the labs.
Q. What are Lab Monitors job duties?
A. The job duties of lab monitors are to provide basic help to students experiencing problems with lab equipment. They also help the Information Technology Department by performing routine maintenance on computers in the labs including cleaning monitors and desks, running updates, scanning hard drives, re-imaging computers, and other computer maintenance procedures.
Q. Why can I not bring food and drink into the labs?
A. Food and drink can be accidentally spilled on keyboards and/or other components causing damage that would require replacement. Crumbs from food may also get under the keys of a keyboard causing a key to stick or not function properly. We ask that you please leave all food and drink outside the lab.
Q. What supplies are available to me in the computer labs?
A. We keep ample supplies of paper available for academic printing in each of our labs. Information Technology does not supply floppy disks, pencils, or ink pens in the computer labs.

Q. Can I check my Hotmail from the computer lab?
A. Yes. As long as you are a registered student, faculty or staff member you may have access to resources in the computer labs.
Q. Where are the computer labs located?
A. On the Columbia campus we have several computer labs available for use when no class is in session. There are labs in Clifton, Lewisburg, Lawrenceburg, and Williamson County. Please see the Lab Information page for more details.
Q. How do I request software installation?
A. You may request software installation by sending your request to the Helpdesk - x2650 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. Can I access Columbia State's network from home?
A. Several of Columbia State's services are accessible via the Internet, such as ChargerNet, email, faculty and departmental Web pages.
