Williamson Campus Campaign
Arts & Technology Building

Dr. Janet Smith

I am excited to bring you great news from Columbia State’s Williamson campus. The Governor has included our next building in the budget. This 4th building will be the first expansion since the original three buildings opened in 2016, creating immediate enrollment growth, new community partnerships and a demand for more course offerings.

The Arts and Technology Building will provide exciting spaces such as the innovation lab to introduce students to technology and opportunities they may not have experienced. There will be a flexible instructional space with theater styled seating and small stage. Student engagement areas, one of which will provide large monitors for gaming, will encourage students to interact. Graphic design, computer-networking and much more will be offered to enhance learning, work-based apprenticeships and industry-driven courses.

As we prepare to break ground and bring this amazing resource to reality, there is still much work to be done. We are asking you, our community, to be a part of this project by supporting the building through donations and partnerships; there are many naming opportunities, campus support options as well as partnerships to be created for student growth.

My team and I look forward to speaking and working with you about creating the future.

Thank you for your support,

Dr. Janet F. Smith, President
Columbia State Community College
