During the summer of 2017, Columbia State conducted robotics camps for middle school and high school students on the Williamson, Lawrence and Lewisburg campuses.
The primary goal is to stimulate participant excitement for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Robotics will be used as the means to expose the participants to the different aspects of STEM with an emphasis on Technology.

Williamson Campus (advanced) - June 27-30, 2017
Lawrence Campus (beginner) - July 11-14, 2017
Lewisburg Campus (beginner) - July 18-21, 2017
The cost to attend camps on the Lawrence and Lewis campuses is $50 each, and the cost for camps on the Williamson Campus is $125.
Students will need to provide their own lunch and drinks.
Beginner Lego Robots
Build your first Robot! Middle school students will experience how exciting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), can be! Students will build and program two LEGO EV3 robots using LEGO Mindstorm’s development environment. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun by watching the robot competition on the last day of camp.
Advanced VEX Robots
More Robot fun! Advanced Robotic Camp for middle school students to go to the next level to build and program Vex robots. Prerequisite: Students need to have already attended Beginner Lego Robots. Students will ramp up their experience in STEM Technology. Parents are welcome to attend the last day and watch the VEX robots compete.
