Anna Guarino

"I'm getting the tassel at Columbia State," says Commercial Entertainment sophomore Anna Guarino, a former Dual Enrollment student.

Guarino – pictured here – graduated high school in December 2007 (one semester early) and thanks to Dual Enrollment courses, she graduated from Columbia State the following May (just one semester after starting), due to the fact that she was able to earn so many credits while dually enrolled.  Anna happens to be an extremely talented singer and part of Columbia State's Commercial Entertainment program at the Williamson County Campus.  She and her family live in Brentwood, and had such a positive experience at Columbia State that her siblings are considering following a similar path to Anna’s, with regards to Dual Enrollment.

This semester, there are a grand total of 150 Columbia State dual enrollment students in Williamson County from nine different high schools, studying subjects like:   Art, Biology, Commercial Entertainment, Communications, Computer Information Systems, Economics, English, History, Humanities, Math, Philosophy, Music, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Spanish.
