Welcome to Columbia State Community College and the New Student Orientation program. We’re glad you’ve chosen to attend Columbia State and have designed an Orientation and Right Start Advising program to help you have a great start. In order to register for class you’ll need to sign up for one of the required Orientation and Right Start Advising Sessions.

NOTE: Non-degree seeking (Audit, Dual Enrollment, Special Undergraduate, and Transient) and Technical Certificate seeking students are NOT required to attend an orientation/advising session before registering for classes.

  Sign up for a group session as soon as possible so that you’ll have better course and campus selection, personal attention from an advisor and learn important information about Columbia State. You may sign up for a session at any location regardless of the campus you will be attending.

  It is preferred that you attend one of the group orientation and advising sessions above. However, if you cannot attend, you may complete the Orientation PDF as an alternative. In order to make an advising appointment you will need to log in to myChargerNet and print your home tab and bring it with you to your advising session. Instructions on how to do this are contained in the Orientation PDF.
