Reception Free and Open to the Public Thursday, Feb. 7
(COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Jan. 31, 2013) - - - Columbia State Community College’s Pryor Gallery is hosting a reception to honor “The Art of Oil and Water” artists, Dean Shelton and William Brison.
“Dean Shelton and Bill Brison are incredibly talented local artists,” said Rusty Summerville, curator for the Pryor Gallery. “We encourage everyone to come out and meet them at our reception on Thursday.”
Those attending the gallery exhibit are invited to stay for the First Farmer’s Performance Series concert, featuring flamenco and jazz fusion artist Jesse Cook. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Cherry Theater.
The Pryor Gallery reception is free, and tickets for Jesse Cook are $20 for adults and $10 for Columbia State students. The evening is appropriate for art lovers of all ages. Tickets for the Performance Series may be purchased by calling 931.540.2879.
“The Art of Oil and Water” exhibit features paintings from each of the artists and will remain on campus through Monday, Feb. 11. The Pryor Gallery and Cherry Theater are adjacent to each other in the Waymon L. Hickman building on the Columbia campus.
