(Lewisburg, Tenn. – May 24, 2011) - - - Columbia State Community College’s Lewisburg Campus will host its 15th annual James R. Moon Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 9 at Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The tournament, played as a four person scramble, will begin with registration and lunch at 12 p.m. and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Teams can enter the tournament at $500 per team, or $125 per player. The entry fee includes cart, green fees, range, individual prizes, team prizes, goodie bag, snacks, lunch and beverages. Participants can also purchase “mulligans,” “red tees,” and enter the putting contest for a fee of $10 each at registration the day of the event.
This golf classic honors the late Mr. James R. Moon, businessman, industrialist, educator, golf enthusiast and an outstanding citizen of Marshall County. The purpose of the golf classic is to provide a source of funds for those individuals who attend Columbia State’s Lewisburg Campus. Scholarships are awarded based on academic history and community service activities.
