Wayne County Students to Benefit From Annual Fundraiser
On April 20, local golfers participated in Columbia State’s Fifth Annual Clifton Campus Scholarship Golf Classic at the Ross Creek Landing Golf Course in Clifton. The annual event raised approximately $10,000 to support the Columbia State Clifton Campus Scholarship Fund, providing educational opportunities to deserving students.
Nearly 100 Golfers competed for cash and prizes valued at more than $3,500 and a chance at a hole-in-one prize – $10,000 sponsored by the Columbia State Clifton Campus. Golfers also competed in a Pink Lady contest. The Pink Lady contest was a game within the scramble with teams competing for a combination prize of cash and gift certificates from O’Charley’s restaurant.
“I want to thank our sponsors and golfers who participated in our annual golf classic,” said Stephen Milligan, director of Columbia State’s Clifton Campus. “Each year, several very deserving students from Clifton and the surrounding areas benefit from the money raised at the classic.”
