All Five Campus Locations To Provide Information For Students & Parents On Dual Enrollment
Columbia State Community College is offering dual enrollment information sessions this summer for high school students and their parents/guardians to gain more information on earning college credit while in high school. Sessions will be available at all five Columbia State campus locations.
“There are many reasons for high school students to consider dual enrollment,” said Lois Stone, Columbia State’s coordinator of extended programs. “The goal for these sessions is to provide students and their families key information on college process, assist them with registration for fall classes and answer whatever questions they may have. The orientation sessions are not mandatory, but participation is encouraged. The discussion will address how college is different than high school and we will assist students with the state’s on-line application for the dual enrollment grant. Dual enrollment is advantageous in many ways, and we encourage students and their parents to attend.”
