On April 28, the Franklin Breakfast Rotary displayed community leadership for higher education as it presented a $5,000 check to Columbia State Community College’s Williamson County Higher Education Campus Fund. Pictured from left to right are Ruth Ford of the Franklin Breakfast Rotary, Dr. Janet Smith – president of Columbia State Community College, and Dr. Paul Gaddis – co-chair of the Franklin Breakfast Rotary’s Education Board. Columbia State-Williamson is working with the community to improve its facilities as it enhances educational opportunities for the citizens of the area. This action of the Franklin Breakfast Rotary can be a challenge to other clubs to do likewise in support of higher education. Columbia State has served Williamson County residents more than 30 years, and currently serves more than 1,500 students.
