Lambuth Coach Credits Merriweather's Versatile Offensive and Defensive Skills
Columbia State Chargers sophomore forward Shaun Merriweather signed with the Lambuth University Eagles after being pursued by multiple schools, including Trevecca Nazarene and the University of North Alabama.
“We are thrilled to sign Shaun at Lambuth,” said Head Basketball Coach Kevin Bruton. “He should be an important player that will bring us versatility on both offense and defense. He brings a great skill set that could help him become very successful in our fast-paced system.”
“I am happy for Shaun and his family, he has worked hard and has improved each season,” said Malcolm Montgomery, Chargers head basketball coach. “He will be a good player and person for Lambuth, and he will be missed.”
“I am happy to be signing with Lambuth University,” said Merriweather. “I think that I will be successful at Lambuth and fit in their program very well. I enjoyed my time at Columbia State, and would like to thank the faculty and staff there for all of their support.”
Merriweather will transfer to Lambuth – located in Jackson, TN – in the fall and intends to major in Human Health Performance.
