Radiology Orientation Sign Up

Rad Tech Orientation Sign Up:

Read all instructions and information carefully.

The first step in applying to the Radiologic Technology program is to sign up for an Orientation session.  These sessions are offered by program faculty periodically throughout the application period.  Applicants should expect the session to take 1-2 hours depending on the size of the group.  It is recommended that applicants know their Learning Support (formerly Developmental Studies) placement status prior to attending orientation.  Faculty provide individual advising at the conclusion of the orientation regarding timelines for eligibility to apply to the program.  To be eligible for an interview all required Learning Support (formerly Developmental Studies) course work must be completed prior to the February 1 application deadline, the candidate must possess a cumulative college level GPA of 2.5 or better and a minimum ACT composite score of 19 (regardless of applicant age.)  The high school GPA is used for applicants who have not earned at least 12 hours of college level credit.  At the orientation faculty will provide information about the program, the application process, the profession, distribute all paperwork relative to application, and discuss the required clinical observation.

Applicants are encouraged to attend orientation as early as possible.  To allow time for all application materials to reach program offices by the annual deadline of February 1, the last orientation session is scheduled in early January.  At that point it becomes impossible for candidates to meet the application requirements due to time constraints and no additional observations are scheduled.  Applicants must have time after the orientation to attend the mandatory observation and submit all required paperwork.

If you have school and work conflicts with the orientation options offered, please check back later.  Dates/times are added regularly until the observation capacity has been reached.

If you attended an orientation within the last year, there is no need to attend again.  Interested students who have previously completed the application process should notify faculty in writing (radtech@columbiastate.edu) that you wish to reactivate your applicant file.
