    Freda Pillow Receives Federal Career Certifications.

    Columbia State Career Counselor Freda Leslie Pillow recently received national credentials as a licensed Certified Federal Job Search Trainer and Certified Federal Career Coach. 

    Pillow was awarded the credentials from the Federal Career Training Institute Certification Program at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. Pillow is currently the only CFJST/CFCC license holder in the state of Tennessee.

    Daniala Gardner Named Veteran's Success Coach

    Columbia State Community College welcomes Daniala Gardner as the new Veterans Success Coach. This grand funded position will be directly responsible for providing transition support to student veterans at Columbia State.

    Amanda Calahan Awarded First Rad Tech Scholarship

    The Columbia State Community College Foundation has announced sophomore radiologic technology major Amanda Calahan as the first recipient of the Dr. William B. Sutter Endowed Scholarship.

    “It is an honor to receive the first ever Dr. William B. Sutter Memorial Scholarship,” said Calahan, a Culleoka resident. “Through the generosity of many people, Dr. Sutter's involvement with radiography education at Columbia State will continue for years to come.”

    Ashlan Brown among first to receive new scholarship

    A new scholarship has been established through the Columbia State Community College Foundation by the Youth Education Foundation. The scholarship will help more than 75 Maury County students who attend Columbia State this year. 

    “This scholarship shows support for what Tennessee Promise offers to our Maury County students,” said Bethany Lay, Columbia State executive for advancement and executive director of the foundation.  “The Columbia State Foundation is pleased to partner with the Youth Education Foundation.”
