Topics include history and research methods, biological aspects of psychology, variations of consciousness, cognitive processes, human development and personality, motivation, social psychology, and psychological disorders and therapies. Social Psychology (PSYC-2120) - Spring Semesters Only
An introduction to social psychology including interpersonal attraction, interaction between people, person perception, aggression, prosocial behavior, conformity, obedience, attitudes, prejudice, and group processes. Psychology of Adjustment (PSYC-2110) - Fall Semesters Only
The study of personal and social adjustment as it relates to coping with the demands of everyday life. Topics for lecture include self-awareness, healthy management of stress and emotions, interpersonal relationships, the grieving process, and communication techniques. Methods to cultivate personal growth and effective adjustment will be presented. (3 credit hours; Offered every Fall semester)
