Columbia State Community College’s Respiratory Care Club recently hosted its 7th Annual 5k Run/Walk. Approximately 75 runners participated in the 5K and kids’ one-mile fun run, and five dogs took part in the pet walk.

“Students from the Respiratory Care club spent several months pulling together resources and support for the run,” said R. David Johnson, program director and associate professor of respiratory care. “The team work they exhibited was impressive. Club president, Angela Hargrove did an excellent job coordinating and directing the event.”

The club raises money to attend the Respiratory Care state convention and for credentialing expenses. A portion of the money raised will also go towards Maury County Parks and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
