The Center for Workforce Development is offering the “Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program” at Columbia State Community College’s Williamson Campus beginning Oct. 28.
Classes will take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 – 9 p.m. through Dec. 18. The popular medical certificate program allows students the opportunity to earn certification that will qualify them for immediate employment in Tennessee's growing health care industry.
Working in pharmacies under the direction of a pharmacist, a pharmacy technician’s main responsibility is filling prescriptions according to doctors' orders, preparing medications for dispensing to patients.
The Williamson Campus is located at 104 Claude Yates Drive in Franklin.
