Columbia State Community College’s Center for Workforce Development is offering a variety of Microsoft Office courses for anyone who would like to learn new skills or refresh the skills they already have.
Through practical and project-oriented lessons, “Introduction to Microsoft Access 2010” will teach participants the basic skills necessary to create, manage and run reports on large amounts of information in a database. This class will take place Sept. 5 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
During “Introduction to Excel 2010,” students will learn to sort and analyze data, design custom charts and graphs, and format worksheets using mathematical formulas. This course will take place Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For those who prefer an evening course, a second course will take place Sept. 23 and 25 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. each evening.
“Introduction to PowerPoint 2010” will teach students how to create professional-quality slide presentations that grab and hold an audience’s attention from start to finish, while exploring the latest features of Microsoft PowerPoint. The course will take place Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
All of these courses will take place on the Columbia Campus, located at 1665 Hampshire Pike.
