Instructional Technology Support Services (ITSS) provides audiovisual
services and instructional technology support for Columbia State
Community College's main and extended campuses. Please contact us
if you have a need for audiovisual equipment, classroom equipment
instruction, multimedia production consultation, technical assistance
with a presentation, Interactive Television/Distance Learning technical
help, or audiovisual equipment repair.
The Multimedia Stations link (above) provides information regarding the
classrooms with multimedia presentation equipment. Each of these
classrooms has a computer, document camera, DVD/VHS machine, and
projection system. Additionally, each station has two USB ports
(in a junction box mounted on the station's countertop) for convenient
USB port access to the station's resident computer. Laptop computer
users may connect their computer to the projection system and the
Columbia State network via additional ports in the same junction box.
The
Media Center in the Waymon L. Hickman Building, room 131, includes a television studio and post-production editing
rooms. This facility is used by mass communication students for class
projects and by faculty for video enhancement of their online courses.
In addition to the TV production facility, ITSS has the capability
to videotape lectures and presentations at any of our five campus
locations during normal business hours.
We look forward to assisting you with your audiovisual and instructional
technology needs!
