The Columbia State Lady Chargers softball team has been ranked as 14th in the nation, according to the 2007 NJCAA Division I Softball Preseason Poll and Preview. Warm weather means baseball season, so come see the action and suppport Columbia State baseball. The Chargers take on Chattanooga March 9-10 in their third conference series of the season. The next home exposition game is March 14, and the next home conference game is March 16. See the full schedule for exact game times. The Phi Theta Kappa All-Tennessee Academic Team, which includes Columbia State sophomores Paul DePaul and Henry Lariscy, was recognized during a luncheon ceremony on February 13 in Nashville. Members of the team are eligible to receive a scholarship to the public university of his or her choice. The Pryor Art Gallery held an open house on Thurs., March 14, unveiling the artwork of several Middle Tennessee elementary and middle school art classes, and a county youth organization. The exhibit will run until March 28. ______________________________________________________________ Columbia State defeated St. Catharine in a double-header Wed., March 13, adding two more wins to their record.

On Fri., March 23, students from the nine-county service area participated in the annual High School Competition, with events in several liberal arts subjects. Medals were presented to the top three places in each event. ______________________________________________________________
Columbia State is presenting two performances of "Through the Looking Glass" on Mon., April 2 at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Cherry Theater. The event is a production of the commercial entertainment department. Approximately 500 kindergarten, first- and second-grade students plan to attend each show. ______________________________________________________________
