Academic OneFile Supplies access to peer-reviewed articles in the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects. Includes full-text coverage of the New York Times back to 1995; and transcripts of podcasts and broadcasts from NPR, CNN, and the CBC.
 
America's Newspapers

The electronic editions of record for local, regional, and national U.S. newspapers. Each paper provides such news as local companies, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and people. Paid ads are excluded.
Can be searched in subsets, such as:
newspapers of individual states (including Tennessee)
newspapers of major U.S. cities
major news magazines

 
Anatomy TV Primarily an online anatomy tutorial, also lets you retrieve articles from the Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy.
 
Applied Science Full Text Indexing of journals in the applied sciences (many peer-reviewed), covering such topics as acoustics, applied mathematics, automotive engineering, computers, biomedical materials, industrial engineering, oceanography, physics, and more. Some full text, including graphs, diagrams, and photos.
 
Art Full Text Indexing of journals (some full text) in the arts, covering such topics as crafts, decorative arts, film, graphic arts, interior design, landscape architecture, painting, photography, television, textiles, video and more.
 
Art Retrospective Indexing only (no full text) of topics in art, such as advertising, archaeology, film, landscape architecture, television, and more.
 
ARTstor A digital library offering coherent collections of art images and descriptive information as well as the software tools to enable active use of the collections. The content includes over 300,000 images covering art, architecture and archeology.
 
Biography Resource Center Covers notable individuals from around the world, throughout history and across all discipline areas. Info is compiled from books, journals, fact sheets, and web sites.
 
Biological & Agricultural Index Plus

Indexing (some full text) of journals in biology and agriculture, covering such topics as agricultural chemicals, economics, and research, animal sciences, biochemistry, biology, botany, ecology, forestry, horticulture, microbiology, physiology, plant pathology, veterinary medicine, zoology and more.

 
Business Full Text Indexing (some full text) of business periodicals, including the New York Times Business Section and the Wall Street Journal. Includes product reviews, interviews, biographical sketches, corporate profiles, surveys, and book reviews.
 
Choice Reviews Online Not a database indexing multiple publications, but a link to the online version of the American Library Association's reviews of recently published materials for academic libraries.
 
Chronicle of Higher Education Not a database indexing multiple publications, but a link to the online version of the Chronicle of Higher Education weekly newspaper.
 
CINAHL with Full Text The Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature database provides indexing for journals from the fields of nursing and allied health, with many records including the full text of the article. Also included are legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials.
 
Classical Music Library Includes tens of thousands of licensed recordings from earliest Gregorian chants to works by modern composers. The audio selections are searchable through a database of supplementary reference information. Users browse, search, click, and then listen to the music over the Internet.
 
Computer Database Computer-related news and product reviews in areas such as hardware, software, electronics, engineering, communications, and technology applications.
 
Education Full Text Indexing, with some full text, of periodicals, monographs and yearbooks. Coverage includes some publications not covered by ERIC.
 
Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Includes the complete encyclopedia, as well as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and the Britannica Book of the Year. Also includes an Internet directory with more than 130,000 links to rated and reviewed Web sites.
 
ERIC.gov The Educational Resource Information Center database contains over a million citations to a collection of education-related resources, from government reports to journal articles. Many of the records include the full text of the document or journal article indexed.
 
Expanded Academic Index Access to the core journals for major academic subjects plus national newsmagazines and indexing for the last six months of the New York Times.

Gale Virtual Reference Library An e-book collection, containing reference books in the areas of business, environment, history, law, medicine, multicultural studies, nation and world, science, and social science.
 
General Business File ASAP  Access to indexing (with much full text) of business & management journals, industry/trade journals, business related economics journals, broker investment reports, company directory listings, newswire releases, and trade publications.
 
General OneFile Indexing for general interest magazines, academic journals, national newspapers, and newswires. Many records contain the text of the article. This is the LARGEST database available through the library.
 
General Reference Center Gold Indexing (with much full text) of articles from magazines, reference books, and newspapers. Wide variety of general interest subjects plus full-text newspaper articles from the Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor and the Knight-Ridder/Tribune News Service. Also includes indexing (no articles) from both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition Provides access to scholarly journals, including Issues in Mental Health Nursing, Journal of Advanced Nursing, Journal of Nursing Management, Nursing Ethics, and many more.
