Lewisburg ITV Equipment
The following provides a basic overview of the system's control panel:
IF THE PANEL IS NOT ILLUMINATED, touch the panel's screen to "wake it up."
-
The Directory button, located on the top row of the panel's screen, is used to connect and disconnect calls. Tapping this button will bring up the speed dial directory. Tap the campus name you wish to connect to and tap CONNECT (or Call). If you need to connect to more than one campus, tap another name on the list and press CONNECT (or Call) again.
Disconnect calls by tapping the Directory button, then DISCONNECT (or Hangup). If you only have one campus connected, the call will be disconnected. If more than one campus is connected, you have the option to Disconnect All or to disconnect an individual site. To disconnect an individual campus, select the campus name from the list and then Disconnect.
-
The Self View button, located on the top row of the panel's screen, is used to switch between local and remote view. For example; if you want the students in the classroom that you are located in to see the students at the remote campus or campuses, tap the Self View button once. Tap the Self View button again if you want the students in the classroom that you are in to see the PowerPoint slides.
-
The Student Cam, Instructor Cam, Computer, Doc Cam, DVD, and VCR icons, located on the left column of the panel's screen, are used to control the device you wish to broadcast. Tap the device you want to broadcast to your students.
Note: Some devices can be controlled by the panel. These controls will appear in the middle of the screen. For example; the Instructor Camera controls are displayed in the picture above. The up arrow tilts the camera up and the down arrow tilts the camera down. The left and right arrows will pan the camera to left or the right. The up Zoom arrow will zoom the camera in toward the subject and the down Zoom arrow will widen the camera's view. Go ahead and experiment!
Each of the Instructor Camera presets have been labeled on the panel (not pictured here) to represent fixed camera angles. Press the preset that best suits your needs!
-
The EXIT button, located on the bottom of the panel's screen, does exactly what it says. Tapping this button will engage the panel's power off sequence (thus exiting control of the system) and may disconnect any calls that you placed.
-
The Audio Mute button, located on the bottom of the panel's screen, silences the broadcast of all audio from the Lewisburg classroom. You will continue to hear the other campus or campuses, but they will not hear you. Additionally, when Audio Mute is engaged, the other campus or campuses will not hear sound from the computer or DVD/VCR machine that you are broadcasting.
-
The Volume controls, located at the bottom of the panel's screen, regulate the softness and loudness of the Lewisburg classroom's speakers. Tap the left arrow to decrease the audio level. Tap the right arrow to increase the audio level.
