Welcome to the Information Technology (IT) Department's website. We hope to provide you with information that will help you perform your academic and administrative job functions.

As a part of the IT Mission Statement, we dedicate ourselves to providing user support for academic and administrative computing at all levels by executing day to day operations, maintaining computer resources, providing support for training as well as individual assistance and consultation.

We are committed to maintaining the highest possible level of technological resources. We seek to enhance the learning environment by ensuring user friendly access to information technology. We support state and federal agencies through effective communications and accurate, timely reports.

We participate in community initiatives for the betterment of society. We recognize Columbia State's leadership role in the community of educational institutions, and will continually take part in the exchange of ideas and information. As a service-oriented department, we dedicate ourselves to being an information technology resource for the academic advancement of the college's customers and its academic service area.

Microsoft Office Free

For Columbia State Students and Faculty/Staff!
How to get it: Go to Office.com and look for the small link “Student or teacher? Get Office for free.” Click it and follow the directions. You must use your Columbia State email to set up an account for free access to Office 365. (Be sure to remember the password you create so you can access Office 365 Online from any computer.) Once your account is created you will see the opportunity to also download Office 2016 directly to your personal computer. That’s all you need to do!

I think I have a virus!

Quick Tip: Most viruses are received as attachments through email.  Avoid opening attachments from people you do not know.  You should first Save the Attachment without opening it, then run your Virus scanning software on the file.  If no Virus is found, then you may open it. Virus Information
