COLUMBIA STATE ACCEPTS FIRST DONATION FOR NEW WILLIAMSON COUNTY CAMPUS
(Franklin, Tenn. – Feb. 8, 2011) - - - Dr. Janet Smith, president of Columbia State Community College, accepted the first donation for the new Williamson County campus. Dr. Paul Gaddis, Rotarian and Columbia State Foundation trustee, and Ruth Ford, Rotarian and immediate past president, presented Smith with a check for $10,000 from the Franklin Breakfast Rotary Club.
“We’re very excited about the leadership that the Franklin Breakfast Rotary Club is taking as a civic organization in support of Columbia State, its new campus and higher education opportunities for the citizens of Williamson County,” Smith said.
The Rotary meeting was held at Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club in Franklin at 7 a.m., where Smith gave a presentation of the vision for the new Williamson County campus.
