Columbia State EMS Education

Welcome to the EMS Academy at Columbia State

Your first step into EMS starts here but to become an EMT you MUST FIRST apply and be accepted to the College.  The entire process is located in the "EMT Information" Tab located on the sidebar.  Click on it and read.  This website will give you valuable information and insight on what's needed to successfully process into our one semester, academy-style EMT Program.  For more information, email EMT Coordinator Eric McCullough.

Or, maybe you've been the EMT and now it's time to go "above and beyond."  Become the paramedic you are meant to be. Enroll in our Academy-Style Paramedic Program.  For those applying, you must FIRST be licensed as an EMT followed by application and acceptance to the College. Once admitted to the College, the Paramedic program requires a separate admissions process which will only be accepted once a year in the fall.  If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the Director/Paramedic Coordinator, Dr. David Cauthen, at 931.540.2686.
