Employment Opportunities:
Faculty (Part-time) Positions Available

Columbia State continually accepts part-time faculty applications in all disciplines. Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. The current rate of pay is $475 per semester credit hour. Workload adjustments will be made for faculty teaching classes where the number of contact hours exceeds the number of credit hours. Additionally, a travel stipend may be negotiated at time of hire for faculty traveling more than 80 miles each week to teach their classes.

In order to teach college transfer courses for the associate of arts or associate of science degree, the part-time faculty member must have a master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. Faculty who teach for an associate of applied science degree must have at least an associate's degree with appropriate work experience. Preference will be given to those who have a bachelor's or master's degree. Alternative credentials and/or additional licensure requirements may be applicable to some positions. College teaching experience is desirable.
