1. The student must obtain the discipline Coordinator’s or Instructor’s signature and DSP Director’s signature on both the Change of Registration Form and this Developmental Studies Program Drop/Withdrawal Form.
2. The student is not officially dropped from a DSP course until approvals have been obtained and both the Change of Registration Form and this DSP form have been processed by the appropriate offices.
3. Students are encouraged to continue to attend classes. Students who fail to get official approval to drop a DSP course and who are not attending classes will receive an “F” for the course.
4. According to the Tennessee Board of Regents A-100 Guidelines, which relate to Developmental Studies Program provisions, “Students needing DSP courses must enroll in and satisfactorily complete these courses during their initial term of enrollment. Persistence in the program is essential.” Therefore, completion of DSP courses precedes other courses.
5. I know that I MUST re-enroll in any dropped DSP course during my next term of enrollment.
