Distance Education: Internet, Hybrid and Interactive Television Classes
Looking for a flexible schedule? Take a look at our Internet, Hybrid, and Interactive Television classes.
What Is An Internet Class?
Flexibility without giving up quality. As a Columbia State student, you can access Internet classes using any Internet connection, anytime, anywhere. 24/7 access allows you to complete assignments, interact with other students in the class through discussions, and communicate with your instructor at your convenience.
What is the difference between Columbia State’s Internet courses and RODP courses? Columbia State’s Internet courses are developed and taught by Columbia State instructors. RODP courses are developed and taught by Columbia State instructors and instructors at other TBR colleges. Both charge an additional fee, but the Columbia State fee and tuition is less.

What is a Hybrid Class?
Cut your drive time in HALF! Meet one day a week on campus and do the remainder of the class online using any Internet connection, anytime, anywhere at your convenience. Evening classes meet every other week. The best of both worlds for a flexible schedule!

What is an Interactive Television Class?
ITV classes are available at all Columbia State campuses. A Columbia State instructor teaches from one campus and rotates to other campuses during the semester. Students enrolled in the class at other campuses are connected through the Internet and view the instructor on a large screen TV. The instructor and students can interact with each other just like a traditional class, and students can see students enrolled in the class at other campuses. ITV classes provide students with the opportunity to take the class at the nearest campus instead of driving to a campus where the course is offered on-ground.
