Veterinary Technology
Columbia
State has one of only two programs in the state of Tennessee for Veterinary
Technology. This program
offers students the opportunity to become a veterinary technician
and receive an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.
A veterinary
technician primarily functions as professional technical support
to veterinarians, biomedical researchers and other scientists. Examples
of responsibilities qualified veterinary technicians are educated
to assume include clinical pathology, radiology, surgical assisting,
office/hospital management and many more.
