Nuclear Physicist

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia; lived in and traveled to numerous places in the U.S. and world.
Interests: computer programming, reading novels and magazines, biking, gardening, and engineering design and construction.

MS (physics)
PhD (nuclear physics) – speciality in high energy neutron physics
Industrial Experience: Consultant to more than 20 national and international companies, held mid-level and senior management positions in several nuclear power and nuclear weapons facilities
Other Academic Experience: Taught at Auburn University, The University of Michigan, and Northwest-Shoals Community College in addition to providing high-technology training to various industries and organizations.
Recognition and Awards: Top undergraduate in physics, Sigma Xi Doctoral Research Award, Harvard University postdoctoral fellowship for studies in radiation and medical physics, co-recipient of the academic instructor award in the Alabama College System, authored 76 peer-reviewed publications and presentations, twice won the award for outstanding technical articles in Radiation Protection Management, served as journal editor for Health Physics, served as technical reviewer for Radiation Protection Management, served in journal editing activities for the Journal of American Mathematical Association for Two-Year Colleges , Who's Who in the Midwest, Personalities in the Midwest, Member of International Biography, Outstanding Young Men of America, Who's Who in the Southeast, Outstanding Scientists and Engineers in the U.S., Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, member of Sigma Xi (Scientific Research Society), Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics Honor Society), and several other organizations
