College Choir is one of two music ensembles at Columbia State Community College. Under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music Emily Gaskill, the mixed men's and women's choir performs at a variety of events each semester. This past year, the choir performed in the school's end of semester music program, performed at an Maury County Choral Festival held at Columbia State, and sang for local nursing home residents. Any active student at Columbia State can sign up for choir. The student receives one hour elective credit for college choir. Requirements to receive an A for the course include attending all rehearsals and performances. The choir rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:50 p.m. in the Hickman Building, Room 145 on main campus.
