ChargerWalk!

In honor of the opening of the Columbia State Wellness Center, all employees are invited to participate in the ChargerWalk! fitness program. This program is designed to celebrate this exciting new addition to campus and to encourage employees to exercise and stay fit. Currently, this program is only available for Columbia State employees.

Program Details

This voluntary program will encompass 5 stages. Each stage will represent the distance between two Columbia State campuses.

Stage 1:    Columbia Campus to Williamson County Campus - 35 miles
Stage 2:    Williamson County Campus to Lewisburg Campus - 38 miles
Stage 3:    Lewisburg Campus to Lawrenceburg Campus - 42 miles
Stage 4:    Lawrenceburg Campus to Clifton Campus - 47 miles
Stage 5:    Clifton Campus to Columbia Campus - 68 miles
Total: 230 Miles

Each participant will receive a free Columbia State pedometer to assist in tracking mileage. Participants are responsible for tracking and submitting their miles walked.

Each participant should submit their miles walked on Friday of each week to Peri Krichbaum via the online form. A complete list of participants and mileage walked will be listed on the Columbia State website here and the top ten weekly walkers will be featured on the Columbia State digital signage.

A ribbon will be awarded to each employee as they finish a stage in the program. A t-shirt will be awarded to all employees that reach the halfway mark (115 miles). Other prizes will be awarded to the first 5 walkers to complete each stage. A grand prize will be awarded at the Annual Employees’ Honors and Awards Convocation in April to any employees that have completed the entire walk across campuses.
