Each MBTI type lists careers and preferences for the type group based on years of research. Your will find some preferences and career ideas that fit your unique personality and some that do not. Combine your MBTI preferences and your Holland Type along with a Values assessment and a realistic inventory of your abilities to get a more complete picture of which careers might be best for you.

Description: 

ESTJ’s enjoy taking a practical, detailed, decisive approach to managing programs, projects and people. They are good at seeing inefficient, impractical or illogical processes and finding ways to make improvements. They are well organized and prefer standard operating procedures and predictability over new methods and change. They also see things as black or white and prefer to follow or create rules to operate by. ESTJ’s have excellent follow through and dislike wasted time and expect others to be task oriented.

 

Careers:

Managerial: Bank Officer, Office Manager, Public Official, Compliance Officer, Health Services Administrator, Budget Analyst, Purchasing Agent, Internal Auditor

 

Law Enforcement:  Military Officer, Security Guard, Park Ranger, Detective, Investigator, Police Officer, Probation Officer

 

Technical/Trades: Engineer, Systems Analyst, Paralegal, Pharmacist, Dentist, Physician, Clinical Technician, Farmer, Construction Worker, Teacher: trades

 

Sales/Service: Insurance Agent, Funeral Director, Government Employee, Real Estate Sales, Pharmaceutical Sales
