Excellence On The Diamond

The 12-time state champion Chargers baseball program is filled with tradition. Head Coach Mike Corn was hired in August, 2009 to replace Kelly Bratton who took the head coaching job at Martin Methodist in Pulaski, TN. Corn is excited to follow in the footsteps of former coaches Dave Hall and Jim Painter, who pioneered the program back in the late 1960s and 1970s. Hall coached two future major leaguers - outfielder John Shelby and pitcher Charlie Mitchell. Hall and Painter's record over 18 years as co-coaches was 570-142 - an .800 winning percentage.
