Chargers Walk Off Over Number One Team in the Country!

The Chargers mob teammate Donald Nolan (11) after his walk-off single to lead Columbia past Walters State.

Sophomore Dustin Delgado Crosses the plate as the winning run after Nolan walked off the Senators Friday March 30.

Nolan rips a pitch through the right side of the infield to walk-off the Senators.

Sophomore Chris Orphanos comes in in relief to get the win.

Orphanos has Walter's hitter chasing the high stuff.

Columbia State's Baseball team stretched their home winning streak to a possible TJCAA/TCCAA record 38 consecutive games with their second win in as many days over the number one ranked team in the country, Walters State Community College, on Saturday March 31. The Chargers (26-6) were looking for the three game sweep over the Senators (31-5), but Walters State pulled out a win in the second game of Saturday’s double header to end the streak for Columbia. Columbia State is now 13-2 in conference play and will take on regional foe Jackson State Community College on Thursday April 5 in Jackson, TN.
