A community college is more than just a school, an education center — it services the community in various ways.
Educational Access
The Center for Economic & Community Development offers non-credit classes, both Professional/Business/Industry Training, as well as “for fun” personal enrichment courses (such as painting, aerobics, and photography). Columbia State offers GED testing, and also serves as location for ACT testing.
Alumni may obtain information on how to access or request their Columbia State transcript.
Culture & Entertainment
Our venues for community entertainment include the Pryor Art Gallery, the annual Performance Series, and other Cherry Theatre events.
The Center for Economic & Community Development sponsors several kids camps each year.
Support Columbia State
The Alumni Association provides a formal communication link between the college and its alumni and friends, to provide a means for mutual support and to promote fellowship and the general educational goals of the college. A number of events are scheduled each year, such as golf tournaments, symposiums and 5K runs.
The Columbia State Community College Foundation encourages friends, alumni, economic partners and others to invest their time and resources toward the improvement of education at Columbia State Community College and making higher education accessible to students in our service area. Renovation and upkeep of campus science labs, underwriting of the Performance Series, and academic scholarships are among the accomplishments of the Foundation. Through various fundraisers and programs, such as Planned Giving, the Foundation is able to achieve these goals.
