The Maury County Arts Guild Winterfest 2010 “Holidays Around the World” was held on Saturday, January 23 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Christa Martin, Assistant to the President, Access and Diversity and Catisha Asbury, Generational Mentor, Access and Diversity, volunteered at the MLKCCC booth. The purpose of this event was to introduce Columbia to the cultures of people from other parts of the World and to build knowledge and awareness between diverse cultures, which leads to better social harmony among all people groups. The guild partnered with the Multi-Cultural Business Synergy Team from Nissan North America to present this event. Some of the countries represented included Israel, Sweden, Great Britain, Pakistan, India, China, the U.S. and Norway.
