Criminal Justice

(TTP: A.A., A.S.)
(A.A.S.-not designed for transfer)

The field of criminal justice is broad and varied.  A student studies law enforcement, the correctional system, and the function and utility of laws in our court system.

The two-year program (AAS) is designed for students who desire to not only work in law enforcement, corrections, probation/parole; but, also for students who wish to work in private security (a new and demanding profession), juvenile delinquency, and other counseling-related fields.

If a student's goal is a bachelor's degree then Columbia State Community College is a good first step.  The transfer degree (AA, AS) automatically transfers to any public university in Tennessee, as well as most private institutions.
