Psychology Award

 

Each year, the Psychology Faculty at Columbia State come together to select a currently enrolled student as the recipient of the prestigious Psychology Award. This award highlights academic excellence within the psychology department. The recipient does not have to be a psychology major to receive this award. Rather, the recipient has to demonstrate high academic achievement in the psychology courses they have taken at Columbia State, as well as demonstrate overall academic excellence during their tenure at Columbia State.

The award is given out during the Annual Student Honors Convocation Ceremony.  

Following are the minimum criteria for the Psychology Award: 

  1. Minimum overall GPA of 2.5

  2. Minimum GPA in psychology courses of 3.0

  3. Completed a minimum of 12 hours at Columbia State Community College.

  4. Completed a minimum of two (2) courses within the Psychology Department at Columbia State Community College OR completed one course within the Psychology Department and currently enrolled in a second psychology course, demonstrating excellent academic performance.
