Career Services: Explore Your MBTI Type

The MBTI is a personality preference instrument developed by Isabel Myers and Katherine Briggs based on theory by Carl Jung. There are four preferences that make up the 16 types. The MBTI does not capture all elements of an individual's personality but provides a framework to better understand personality and how it relates to career choices. The 4 scales are described below along with the 16 types and what each type tends to choose for a career and why.

Extraversion/Introversion - Where do you direct your energy?

Sensing/Intuition - How do you take information?

Thinking/Feeling - How do you make decisions?

Judging/Perceiving - How do you live your life?
